The Official Poker Rules

Since poker has become an international game over the last decade, these rules are designed to give players a consistent set of rules regardless of where they play.
Rules of Texas hold’em
The Rules of Texas hold’em define how players place their bets. In the game, players make bets on the board in amounts that are defined by the blinds and the size of the pot. Blinds are mandatory bets made by players to the left of the dealer and determine the minimum bets that can be placed.
The goal of the game is to have the best five-card poker hand. The best five-card hand is made up of the two hole cards held by the player and the five community cards on the table. The best hand wins the pot.
Rules of Omaha
Omaha is a community card game that is very similar to Texas Hold’em. In both variations, players use two cards to form their best hand. The pot is the sum total of all bets placed by players during a hand. Unlike Texas Hold’em, which has a single betting round, Omaha has many variants.
The game is played with nine to ten players. It involves rotating blinds in which players contribute a certain amount of money to start betting. The best high hand wins, and the best low hand wins half of the pot. To win, the low hand must contain five unpaired cards ranked eight or lower. The top two cards are dealt face up, and the bottom three cards are dealt face down.
Rules of Omaha Hi-Lo
The Rules of Omaha Hi-Lo are the same as in regular poker, except in this variation, players compete to obtain both a high hand and a low hand. Players can use different cards to make high and low hands, or they can use the same cards for both. For example, in Omaha Hi-Lo, an ace can be the lowest card of a low hand, but it can also serve as the highest card of a high hand.
The high hand must beat the low hand in order to win the pot. The low hand can be any two down cards, as long as it is not higher than eight. In a high-low split, the lowest hand must have a minimum of eight to qualify.
Rules of Omaha Lowball
Rules of Omaha Lowball are similar to those of hold’em, with the exception of not playing the board. Instead, a player must use two cards from their hand and three from the board. This variation of poker is usually played as a high-low split. The player with the best hand wins the high half of the pot and the one with the lowest win the low half. However, there are certain conditions that must be met to win the low half of the pot.
Players may only draw five cards after the dealer has dealt four cards to the players. A player may only draw five cards when he has a high-card and has at least one ace. However, he cannot draw more than four cards in a row. This is because he must discard one of his cards in order to receive his fifth card.
